Wet Room

A 'wet' wet room floor.  This is a suspended floor wet room with electric underfloor heating.  The wall tiles are 4" glass and the floor is indian slate.  The tray is 1500mm x 800mm, a popular size for a larger wet room floor                                 

The wet room below replaced an existing shower that was leaking badly  in the ground floor of an Old Farmhouse.  The whole floor was raised to provide correct drainage fall.  The raised floor was waterproofed all over.   Dukka board was used to clad the wet area and large limestone tiles are used on the floor and walls.  A 50mm Dukka board 900mm x 1200mm floor former was used for the wet area, the rest of the floor was 50mm Dukka board supported on joists. The result was a trult beautiful wet room.
